The first edition of the Biorefine Conference ‘The role of biorefineries in European agriculture’, will take place on 30th and 31st May in Ghent, Belgium.
The event is organised by Biorefine Cluster Europe, a network of projects and initiatives in the field of biobased resources recovery.
The aim of the conference is to highlighting the current research innovations in six main Biorefine’s domains related to sustainable resource management and circular economy systems: nutrient recycling and recovery, renewable energy, water recovery and use, biomaterials & eco-design, biochemicals and value chain assessment.
WalNUT project will be presented in the afternoon session on May 31st at 4 pm. The session focus on finding resource-oriented solutions for water recovery and reuse.
The aim of the Biorefine conference is to foster a fruitful discussion among the participants, highlighting the recent technological developments and the concrete solutions to make the transition to circular economy work in practice.
